Welcome to our Canadian First Nations Art galleries, which include Pacific Northwest Art - cedar carvings and masks, Canadian Indian ceremonial jackets, and Canada First Nations Beaded Jackets.
We presently also have a Gene Drake soapstone sculpture, and a an excellent Frederic Remington bronze reproduction.
Native people lived in Canada first - they are called the First Nations and the Inuit (Eskimo). The Métis are half-First Nations and half-European, and across Canada, by far the most widespread were (and still are) the Cree.
The Totem pole, in all its power and beauty, is a distinctive and widely recognized form of traditional Northwest Coast Native art. Once nearly lost, this art form is alive and thriving today, and we have two British Columbia Coast Salish cedar carved Totem poles.
Our Canada Native Art collection also includes a stunning Blackfoot Headdress, Limited edition prints, including a Richard Hunt print, and original oil paintings by Canadian Indian Artists. Our Indian art features a variety of works by the First Nations artists whose work reflects the ancient histories and traditions of the coastal people. |
